Terms and Conditions

Emergencies

Dr Mo Private Clinic is not a walk in clinic or emergency service. If you need urgent medical care, please contact your local NHS healthcare services as appropriate including your local Walk In Centre, 111, 999 or attend the Accident & Emergency department at your local hospital.

Safe Prescribing

We do not prescribe Schedule 1, 2 or 3 drugs. Schedule 4 drugs, if prescribed at the discretion of the doctor, can only be prescribed once and no more than a weeks supply will be given. We do not prescribe certain specialist drugs or desiccated thyroid hormone. Please contact us before booking to see if we can prescribe your medication.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be requested by submitting an online request form which can be found by clicking here– this is priced at £29 and if approved, a maximum of one month of medication can be issued. This can be collected from our prescription box with 24/7 access, please note we are unable to post or fax prescriptions.

The repeat prescription service is for existing patients only, and only for medications already prescribed by Dr Mo. If you require more than one month supply of a repeat medication or if you wish to request a new medication or if Dr Mo wishes to review you before authorising a further repeat prescription, then a clinic appointment with Dr Mo would be required.

Appointments

Longer appointments & extra clinic time:

If you require a longer appointment, please do let us know at the time of booking so we can help accommodate this. Extra clinic appointment time is charged at the same rate as your appointment price including any part thereof e.g. a 35 minute appointment would need to be charged as two appointment fees. If you wish for a longer appointment on the day, but no time is available to extend your appointment, options include waiting or re-booking for a time convenient for you.

Payment:

Some services such as telephone consultations, home visits and where items e.g. vaccines have been specially ordered, require payment to be processed at the time of booking. For all other services, payment is required by the end of the appointment. Payment can be made by card or cash.

Running Late:

If you are running late for your appointment, please do let us know as early as possible, and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. However, to avoid impacting other patient's appointments, especially if you are over 5 minutes late, you may be asked to re-book for another time.

Cancellation Policy and 'No Shows':

If you need to change your appointment, please do let us know as soon as possible and we will make every effort to help find an alternative appointment. Cancellations or changes with less than 24 hours of an appointment or no shows are non-refundable and we reserve the right to request payment prior to booking a further appointment. Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice are subject to a £15 third party cancellation fee per service/item booked. Cancellation where items e.g. vaccines have been ordered are not refundable.

Follow up:

Some services include a period of free aftercare if needed, e.g.  toenail surgery or skin lesion removal. For all other services such as clinic consultations, if post-appointment advice, medical assistance or follow up discussion with Dr Mo is requested, for an existing or a new condition, a further clinic appointment would be required. For a new medication request, a further clinic appointment would be required. Alternatively, you can contact your NHS GP Surgery, 111 or 999 / A&E in an emergency.

Clinical Queries by email:

Please note that, unfortunately, we are not able to answer any clinical questions by e-mail or text message. These would need to be discussed with Dr Mo in an appointment.

Refunds:

Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice are subject to a £15 cancellation fee per service/item booked. Cancellations or changes with less than 24 hours of an appointment or no shows are non-refundable and we reserve the right to request payment prior to booking a further appointment. Cancellation where items e.g. vaccines have been ordered are not refundable.
